Charlie’s favorites:

Cars & trucks, reading (especially Little Blue Truck books), eating, music & dancing

Charlie’s diagnosis:

Charlie is a fraternal twin, and he was born at 34 weeks. From the start, he had more feeding and breathing trouble than his unaffected twin, Drew. We thought it was related to prematurity. Then there started to be bigger developmental differences between Charlie and Drew, and we began searching for answers. Eventually, we were directed to a developmental pediatrician who ordered a microarray test to check for genetic issues. The results gave us our diagnosis.

Charlie’s family wants you to know:

It is has become part of our mission to ensure that other families avoid the sense of loss and loneliness we felt post-diagnosis. We share Charlie’s story and progress on his website (www.Change4Charlie.org) and Change4Charlie social media. We encourage families to reach out because it has made all the difference for us. This journey can be difficult, but we’ve been lucky to connect with some wonderful families from around the world.
